As the story goes… a relative was presenting his research on Aukes genealogy during a family reunion. At the conclusion of his presentation he stated “That being said, our ancestors most likely came from the Netherlands, not from Germany.” A hush fell and rumblings of disillusionment began to rise from the crowd. Evidently the presenter was not willing to stand by his conclusion and made a final statement, “Then again, maybe not.” The Aukes clan calmed… again being able to believe they “Ain’t Dutch”.

I developed an interest in video editing while making short videos to remember my camping trips in Minnesota with my father and brother. In 2010, I attended the UND Summer Moviemaking Camp to develop video production skills.

With my new video production skills, I began to upgrade to my equipment and video editing software. I currently use the Adobe Creative Suite of programs for all video editing and video effects. See my Equipment List for the equipment I own and am proficient in using.
